A Simple Approach to High-Resolution CT Scanning of the Lungs

Step 1: Remember Everything You Already Know About Regular CT!

The approach I'm giving here is to help you differentiate interstial lung diseases. Many of these patients will additionally (or conversely) have "non-interstitial" lung disease problems, and you should be comofortable with those already.

Step 2: Identify The Predominant Pattern on the Image

Basically, the pattern should be one of the following: Dots, Lines, Circles or Opacities:
